WSIB FRAUD

Examples of possible offences that can be committed by a worker include: falsely claiming that an injury is work related, misrepresenting the level of impairment to receive WSIB benefits, and working and receiving income while receiving WSIB benefits.

Persons who commit a fraud exceeding a value of $5,000 can be sentenced to imprisonment for up to 10 years. Penalties may also include fines, probation, and/or an order to pay full restitution.

The owner oversees every file from beginning to end. We also set a surveillance schedule that is most advantageous for the file. In addition, we have the ability to exchange investigators and surveillance vehicles during the course of surveillance or to send an additional investigator to assist when required. The owner maintains communication with our investigators throughout the investigation.

Furthermore, we provide a complete surveillance program supported by secured video film, still photographs and a detailed narrative report.
